🗽20+ years teaching American English to adults and , both online and in classroom setting 🗽I am originally from Washington, DC in the USA. After university I worked 19 years in the advertising and marketing industry in the US. I obtained my FAA private airplane license and logged 1000+ hours flying. I play piano, guitar and ukulele. I live on the beach in Florida with my wife, boy and 2 cats. 🗽Cross-cultural subjects are a favorite of mine. US and World History is a passion as well and I do teach such if asked by a student to go beyond conversation and grammar. 🌎 Role play drills are very important for business English students. With me you can expect intensive role playing. 🌎 Course content: First I test the student using a Cambridge Grammar Exam. Additionally I ask a list of verbal cues to ascertain verbal acuity. I test pronunciation as the same time. From there I design a special course for the student which can include written exercises if needed. 🌎 At all times the student is the boss. We target the individual needs of the student and have fun at the same time. 🇺🇸 I provide a comfortable online classroom environment. I am on time every time and ready to work. Again, the student is the boss! If you want me to speak slowly I will. Some students, though, want the teacher to speak my normal American speed in order to get used to Americans. No problem ... just let me know. I will always (politely) correct your spoken English. If you have special problems with your written or spoken English I will always explain WHY we are changing directions in order to address such problem. I love to teach!
